ECMPS 2.0 Software Launch
The EPA has announced a new development in the ECMPS 2.0 software launch. The government agency is targeting the launch for Q1 of 2026. Current breez75x versions will be incompatible for submitting quarterly EDRs once launched. A compatible update will be released afterward.

Facilities subject to 40 CFR 98 must update CeDAR configurations for new global warming potential values effective January 1, 2025: CO2 remains 1, CH4 changes from 25 to 28, N2O changes from 298 to 265.

The EPA has announced the delay in the launch of ECMPS 2.0 and will not be available for the 2024 Q1 reporting period. No new release date announced. breez75x versions will require updates upon ECMPS 2.0 launch.
Scrubbed Instrument Air Demonstration Method
Many facilities utilize instrument air to span their O2 analyzers. It has recently been brought to the attention of CiSCO that this could bring a CEMS out of compliance. A compliance-acceptable demonstration methodology has been documented.
EPA Reengineering ECMPS Software
EPA is changing the data format used for submissions from XML to JSON, requiring a new breez75x version. ECMPS 2.0 was scheduled for April 2024, with the new breez75x available February 2024. SQL Server 2016 or later is required; new licenses may be needed.
Calibration Drift Tests
Per 40 CFR 60 Appendix F, excessive calibration drift failures invalidate data backward to the most recent passing test. CiSCO encourages facilities to perform an additional CD immediately following CGA and RATA tests.
